The Maloof Money Cup, the contest that bills itself as the 'world’s greatest skateboarding championship' got underway at the OC Fair & Event Center on Saturday. Celebrities Kobe Bryant, Warren G, E-40 and Snoop Dog held an impromptu concert in the Maloof Money Cup arena for fans cheering on their favorite pro skaters.

In the Women's segment of the event Billabong team rider Lacey Baker heated up the "Street" category taking a solid 2nd place in scorching hot conditions. It wasn't an easy contest considering the talented women she had to skate against.  Leticia Bufoni was declared the winner, with Lacey finishing close behind her, Elissa Steamer in 4th, followed by Alexis Sablone.

After winning "Female with the best style" last year from The Skateboard magazine; she's taking her bag of tricks to the next level as she proved this past weekend.  Congrats Lacey, we’ll see you at the X Games!
