Jamie Anderson grabs Silver at X Games
Jamie Anderson, welcome back to Winter X - we missed you. Jamie won her first slopestyle Gold Medal in 2007 and followed it up with a repeat win in 2008. Two weeks before X Games '09, she fractured her hip. An injury that would take her out of competition for the rest of the season. This year, it was impossible not to notice her. Jamie was ripping. In her first run of 3 she landed a super clean backside 180, to cab 5, to frontside 3 on the bottom jumps with her trademark powerful and progressive style. She proved stronger on the rails than anyone though her jumpline on the bottom was not as technical. If she had landed that frontside 7 on her final run... ? Anderson grabbed the silver with a score of 89.33.
Her teammate/fellow Billabong UK team rider Jenny Jones proved her win last year was not just a one-time deal, defending her position with the cleanest technical run of the day.
Next up for both girls is the final stop on the Dew Tour at Mt Snow in VT. Jamie is currently tied for first place and Jenny is in 3rd.Loading...
