Flaunt It’s Sunday Funday at Sierra Billabong returned once again to Sierra-at-Tahoe for the 5th stop on the Flaunt It Slopestyle & Rail Jam snowboard series. With a $2000 purse, valuable TTR points, a trip to the Flaunt It finals at Mt Tremblant and tons of product on the line, female riders came out from all over the globe – New Zealand, Norway, Utah, Colorado, New Hampshire, even Canada, eh. The day kicked off with epic sunny Sierra conditions on the perfect Lower Bashful slopestyle course. The jam format allowed the girls to log at least five or six runs so they could have fun and get pumped without the pressure, upping the ante with each new trick. Tahoe locals were ripping but it was Utah’s Wasatch Project shredder Lynn Neil whose stylish runs including a huge cab 5 to backside 7 scored her 1st place, a fistful of cash, tons of Billabong and Dakine product, and the coveted Nixon gold 42-50 watch. Fellow Wasatch Project crew Jessika Jenson took home the Dakine Best Trick for a nollie front cork 720, and Tahoe shredder Nicki Slechta dominated the rail jam clinching 1st with her front board 270 out. Flaunt It heads back up north of the border to Mount Seymour in BC next weekend and the series wraps up in Mont-Temblant on March 27th. With a cash purse of $10,000 up for grabs, riders better sign up now!
